Have you seen the new KA+? It apparently comes out this November, and I've gotta say compared to the two previous incarnations of the car - it's mighty pretty! 

It kind of reminds me of a squashed up fiesta, so wondering how the mk8 is going to look next spring too

It feels wrong to say anything bad about a Ford, but I just don't see the point of it...

If you want a small 3-door, buy a KA.  If you want a 5-door, buy a Fiesta.

A 5-door KA is just ridiculous in my opinion, as it will either be too big to be a small car like the KA previous was, or will not provide enough rear room to make it worthy of having rear doors.

I suppose a lot depends on what they're going to do with the mk8 fiesta, but I do kinda see where you're coming from. Think where the fiesta came from and how much it's grown in size over the years 

Tbh its the first KA out of the bunch that I've liked (not enough to want to own mind you) big sorry to any KA owners out there lol

Yeh I heard that as well, starting from 9 or 10k, so a bit of a bargain really considering...well imo anyway lol

That's true!  When we had our MK4 Fiesta (5-door) we got a 2005 KA as a courtesy car when it went into the local Ford dealer one time, and that was the same size as our MK4!!  I couldn't believe it.  That said, I'd never have swapped our Fiesta for it though.  The build quality and general "feel" was just horrific.  Getting back into the Fiesta was like going from a Vauxhall Corsa to a Mercedes!

It's like the new Minis, which are twice the size of the originals.

It's not just the Fiesta though, with each class of car, and each mark they've grown. Each Focus is bigger than the previous mark, the Focus was bigger than the Escort it replaced.  At this rate the Mk20 Fiesta with be bigger than the current S-Max

And developers however, continue to build garages to suit 1938 width cars and as a consequence the Ka is probably the only modern Ford that'll fit in a single garage.  Or rather the only car you drive into the garage and get out without clambering over the seats and out the tailgate

I didn't think of that, but you could be right...

When I saw one of these at Dunton last year, because of its size I thought it might have been the new Fiesta (thank god it's not) or a China/India only model (rumour of escort model for China have been around) but, no it's this Ka. I like the mk1 and the mk2 isn't bad but this new one is big and ugly, does look slightly better in the pic above than the lower spec frozen white I saw.

the car in the pic looks like it's on 15" wheels so shows how big the car is.

I will never touch anything with "Ka" in it's name with a barge pole, even if it costs 20K! Brings shame to the brand!!

this one will be nothing to do with the italians luckily, so should be ok with proven fiesta parts and engines/boxes, obviously will be built to a price  so older tech off fiesta used. but should be good for under£10k new. 

The new ebrochure is available on the Ford website,  as is build and price now. It appears it only comes in two specs: zetec and studio. A fully specced up zetec with every single option and mid range paint costing £11840, still a bit of a bargain
