How hard can it be?

Featured Replies

I've been quoted  £65 to remove my hardwired in sub and dash cam. Does that sound good value for money or a complete rip off?

I mean how hard can it be? Or is it best leaving this to the pros as essentially now I've signed the dotted line the car isn't technically mine anymore...

It sounds a bit high to me, but is purely down to labour charges and that's a case of "how long is a piece of string", unfortunately...  If you need the work done and have return to the car to the dealership, then I'd be inclined to first check if any other "professional" could do the work cheaper, and if not, pay out.

Is this the same installer that hardwired them in the first place?

It strikes me as bit high, if it is, as they'd remember how they routed it too.

Whereas another wouldn't and might exploiting the fact, they don't and hope you don't:mellow:
