Focus Footwell

I've got an 07 Focus Zetec 1.6 and I have noticed that the drivers side footwell gets extremely hot, has anybody else suffered with this please, and do you know what might be causing it?

Thanks

Only thing I can think of is that some fault in the heater flaps or vent pipes is allowing heat from the heater matrix to get to this footwell even though the heating is set to cold. The matrix itself will still be heated by the engine, it is only the air ventilation flaps that move to provide cool air.

See if you can locate the heat source more closely, & see if it gets hotter with the heating set to come on, if that is possible in this weather!
