Bath Soak (like Radox for humans) but for Dogs

Featured Replies

Does anyone know of a bath soak that is suitable for dogs, all the bathing products I've looked at online in the various pet stores, are of the shower variety, or the stinky dog needing a thorough cleanse.

Of course I might be looking for a product that doesn't exist:unsure:

Brandy quite likes a cleansing shower when she's rolled in something, or is wearing some of rural Dorset in her fur.  I though it might help her arthritis to have the dog equivalent of a relaxing soak in the dog equivalent of Radox; only I can't find any:unsure:.

Hi Ghana

You don't really need any doggy Radox. Just a nice warm bath would suffice and do Brandy a world of good.

Alternatively, How about wheat bags. https://wheatybags.co.uk/products/microwave-pet-warmer-animal-heated-wheat-pads?gclid=CJeUw62V8c4CFeUp0wodlpcKJA

I was going to say the same thing, just a warm (not hot) bath.

If you are not needing to clean her it's better to avoid using any products as it just strips the oil from their coat.

For humans the bath soaks are more about the relaxing smell than any chemical benefit. The warm water does the work.

Thanks Joss and Alex:smile:

I've now discovered Brandy's bath mat has perished, I would've thought a rubber bath mat would last longer than it had:mellow: I think it was bought during the spider mite infestation of 2009. She doesn't like the slippery bath bottom under her paws and likes to stand on something grippy.

I suppose one the Mk2 Focus' rubber mats would do unless I can get another one at Tesco tonight.

Which for Brandy a relaxing smell would be tripe, perhaps a piece of tripe draped on the towel rail, allowing the parfum de tripe to meander around the bathroom:laugh:
