Mk2 Focus cooling fan not working

I guess the temperature sensor is working properly because my dashboard temperature neddle is moving and also I have temperature readinds with a diagnostic tool linked to the OBD port.

Unplug the Coolant Temperature sensor. The fan should switch on, this is the default state if the sensor fails or is disconnected.

The las thing I checked is the PWM blue wire that goes from the fuse box to the FCM and I have nothing, always 0V (checked with an oscilloscope).

You could check the wire continuity between the FCM & the fuse box connector C90 pin 34

In my case, switching the AC on, turn the fan on (at low speed), regardless the engine temp. If I were you, I would try this... if the fan doesn't turn with AC, the new PWM is fawlty or the signal cable are broken. If the fan works, the issue it's on the temperature sensor. If you have ForScan cable, take a look also.

About PWM: I was a very rare issue with the new one: after replacing the old for the new (same referece but OEM, purchased in AutoDoc), the fan was running right, but produced an error in the ECU, (seen with ForScan) that disabled the AC compressor clutch (checked all electrical wires, relay, etc.!)... After replacing it again for my old and damaged PWM, I was be able again to connect AC, but the fan no working again as expected... I was solved it by buying a scrapyard PWM fan. What I mean by this is that if you have put in a new OEM PWM unit, don't rule out that it is not working properly even though it is new. It happened to me, and AutoDoc recognized that the part was ‘not compatible’ even though it had the exact same part number.
