Tyre size help please

Featured Replies

Hello all,

looking for a bit of advice on tyre sizes. I have owned my ford for just under a year (a c-max 62 plate) and I have just had my MOT where I was advised the front two tyres will soon need replacing.

On the current tyres I see the following size:

215/55 r16 93H

however, when I put the registration into any website I get

205/55 r16 93v

does this mean I currently have the wrong tyres on or should I continue with the size currently on the car?

any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.....

215/55/16 is the correct tyre size for your car.

Thanks

is there a specific reason websites have it different? I'm just being curious now

no idea, my focus has 215/50/17 but all websites show 215/55/16, to be fair it was a ford option .

the later focus and c max went to 205/55/16 , then back to 215/55/16 again a few weeks ago on new focus.

Fair enough.

Thanks for the help.....I shall proceed with the 215's

I think it is related to trim level. Titanium had 215 while Zetec and Style was 205.

The websites will just show the bulk model default size for that model.
