Bonnet catch Ford Focus 2008

Hi there

can anyone help please

ive installed a new bonnet catch lock"with the sensor ,but it still doesn't pop up on the 1st turn ;(

im still in the same situation with the new lock as I was with the old one ;(

is there anything else it can be please ?

Have you got an aftermarket grill?  I tried one and it didn't fit properly, only millimetres away and it'll stop working.  You can get a longer plastic cross thing (probably has an actual name) to allow a lot more play in the bonnet catch.

i tried the longer cross piece from eBay and still the bonnet doesn't pop on the 1st turn ;(

Hi,

I would recommend removing the cable and plastic bit all together. Just leaving the locking mechanism itself and using a long screw driver to open and close the bonnet.
