Flat battery to often

Featured Replies

Hello my other half has a ford k reg sierra 2lt and it keeps killing the battery the car is driving him mad and he is driving me mad as for me i still have hair to pull out not sure what the problem is with the car but he's now going bald and wondered if anyone had any ideas what the problem might be

Probably a weak alternator. So the car is using too much power from the battery.

Hello and welcome  Ellen

Just pop to a local garage and ask for them to test the battery and alternator out put. Usually they will do it for free as they might get a battery sale from it.

if you get a multitester it'll tell you alot they're cheap enough and for what a garage will charge you'll be quids in and it's something that you can use again and again , they're not complicated things to use just set it to 20v dc and the relevant leads on the battery to see what's coming in and going out , do a search of the site or google/youtube etc and theres millions of videos showing what to do
