plexiglass

Featured Replies

Hi all

iv had a brain wave today, where im getting a bit bored of my current computer case, my idea is to make a new one out of Plexiglass, my question is how hard would it be to bend it or my original plan was to get some 90 degree metal corner for the 4 corners, a nice little project for me, ill just use the current hardware in the current pc just mount it on the glass.

any ideas appreciated

thanks

How odd you too were thinking of doing something with plexiglass/ABS today:laugh:

I need to make a 220mm diameter x 25mm deep shallow bowl shape, after my kitchen clock randomly fell off the wall this morning, shattering it's face cover into a several shards.  terrifying both Brandy and Molly as it did so.

You need to heat it, where you want to bend it,

Alternatively, you could could just use a non-conductively oil filled aquarium as a PC case, like this one by Puget Systems

yes i saw that same video earlier, as bending it would give it a sleek look with smooth edges or go for a corner piece and give it a retro style look, a fish tank is a good idea but ideally need space to screw/ mount the mother board and other component's securely, come to think of it glue or sticky pads could be an alternative but would it mess with the circuit board connections
