Is my car an MK7?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

As the title suggest I am trying to find out if the body kit I need is for an MK7?
I have a Ford Fiesta Titanium 2014 1.5 Diesel TDCI 5 Door (Exactly like the image below.)

The reason I ask is when I type my registration into eBay it keep changing it to a VI 2016 1.5 TDCI?

If also somebody could please direct me to a good place to purchase parts that would be much appreciated

the problem is that there is not a universal agreement on the MK numbers.   Eg. the 2002-2008 model is generally called a MK V (five) by Ford but in the UK the customers call it a Mk6 (or Mk6.5 for the 2005 facelift updates).   So the next one is called a Mk VI by Ford but UK customers call it a Mk7 (or Mk7.5  for the 2013 facelift update).

The picture shows what is referred to as Mk7.5 by owners in the UK.

I had same problem with my 2007 fiesta when buying parts because the lookups say it is MK V for that year (whereas customers in UK would call it Mk6.5)

Wikipedia:

Sixth generation (2008–present)

The sixth generation, or Ford Fiesta Mark VI,[7] was shown in concept form as the Ford Verve at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2007 and marketed in principal European markets,[33] Australia and the United States. This model is based on Ford's new global B-car platform. The sixth generation is known as Mark VII in the United Kingdom.[34] Production started at Ford's Cologne plant in Germany in August 2008. A second plant in Valencia, Spain started production in early 2009. Productions in China, Thailand and Mexico started from late 2008 to 2010.[35] In Brazil the production of the hatch version started in the end of 2012, in São Bernardo do Campo in São Paulo. Soon, the saloon version will be produced in the same place.
