Dpf changes for 2017

Featured Replies

An interesting read for any of you with a gutted dpf or thinking about it.

At the moment as long as the dpf isn't missing then it will pass, regardless of what is or isn't inside as the mot tester cannot see inside.

As you will know Stefan, this has been on the cards for a while now. We will just have to wait and see what the clowns come up with. More over, How much it's going to cost us, the motorist.

Yup it's been coming for a while, ultimately going to cost motorist more money. Won't be long until petrol cars get hit with something, there must be money to be made there too.

New technologies for it?  They can already read particulates so I can only assume they mean x ray vision!

I would say petrols already had thier sting, you can't pass MOT with a knackered cat, lambda or any other sensor that ruins the emissions.  Well I say can't...I know loads of people with petrol decats so tbh those with a friendly tester and no guilty conscience won't be effected anyway.

it will be a tester that interogates the pcm via dlc connector , easy.
