PaddyWhack
Morning all. Had my ST a a few years nearly, looking to get it remapped. Will probably go through superchips as i like to be able to take the map on and off again if needed. Has anyone recently installed bluefin to the ST 1.6? How does it feel, any negatives etc? Any help would be great! Thanks
WillKinsella
I installed it to my 125ecoboost and the upgrade in power and torque is immense. Feels like a totally different car. Would highly recommend them for any car, can imagine it making your ST an absolute beast! Go for it!
WES180
Ive had one for my old Mondeo ST TDCi and that was great plus the fact i got it reset for free and then sold it when i sold the car. I might invest in one for my Focus Zetec S 182 (same engine as yours Paddy) when i can afford it. An 8 month old baby and wife now part time rather the the usual full time has dried up the wedge of disposable cash for now!
MarksST
Peron, Collins and pumaspeed (max'd) maps can also be swapped using an adapter.
jace1969
Just looked at there site a did the drop-down search,on my normal 1.6 non-turbo it will only give me 13bhp more but the ecoboost 125ps it says 31bhp more which is massive, would be a must for me if i had the eco 125. How do the insurances look at this.
MarksST
Superchips like to be a bit misleading, the quoted increase is at the point of the biggest difference between the curves, whereas most tuners will quote the max power or torque they produce, have a look at the power graphs.
