MK7 ST tyre options

Featured Replies

I'm seriously considering buying a Fiesta ST as a daily driver to save using my M3 in poor conditions.

First thing i want to do is fit winter tyres to it, but the oem size of 205/40/17 is very limited.

Is there an upsize/downsize thats safe and won't look stupid?

Thanks all

Not sure what type of winter conditions you experience, but you might want to consider an "all season" tyre and a move to 205/45/17 opens up some options (Vredestein Quatrac 5 for example). Otherwise, I think the specified winter wheel size is 195/45/16 (worth checking), and then there's lots of winter tyre options.

Mine's not an ST, but should show you the rough idea. I've slapped 175/65/14's on with winter tyres. Doesn't look too bad for being such a small wheel.
