Hi. I bought a 2nd hand 2013 Fiesta 1.5 TDCi Zetec on Wednesday. I drove it home in the dark but was concentrating more on driving then other things. I'm not sure that the instrument panel for the audio and climate controls light up in the dark (for sure the next test will be go out again at night but not keen the last couple of days due to freezing fog). I know the ambient lights work, setting is on in the menu and the light around the glove box and in the doors light up, I think the footwells also but can't be 100% sure right now. The dimmer dial on the right of the steering wheel above the fog lamp is turned to maximum.

So question is: should the instrument display for the audio and climate control buttons light up fully so you can see what button is what when it's dark and the cars headlights are on? Something like in the attached picture which I found on this site.

Resolved. It was obviously me not paying attention on the first drive in the dark having just got the car. Tested tonight once it was dark, and all the lights for the climate control and radio are now lit up in a lovely blue colour, so no problem, all is good.
