elanmac
Driving to work this morning in my 1.0 eco boost the oil warning light flashed for approx 1 second along with the chimes. At the time I had braked hard but only from a low speed, the only other thing that might have a bearing on this was that the weather was very cold 1deg. I have checked the oil. Any thoughts on what could cause this would be most welcome. Mac
isetta
my first thought is low oil level so heavy breaking made it rush forward and leave the oil pickup dry momentarily. I expect you have done the checking properly, but just in case, was the car definitely level when you checked and also that you understand the markings on the dip stick as they vary on different models
