New ford owner needs help.

Hi ford owners,

Ive recently purchased a 57 plate ford fiesta ghia 1.4 tdci. Only has 52,000miles on the clock, a lot of service history and in great condition.

Sadly it has persistent fault that is costinge dearly. On its first cold start it start first time every time but cuts out after 30 seconds. I can get the car started again after 5 minutes but i have to rev the car a lot and it struggles. Revving it past 2000 revs. Once i get it going it runs great but if its sat longer than a few hours same problem.

Its been in the garage a few times no codes show up. First fix was having the feul tank drained and filled with fresh diesel worked for a week then problem returned. Ive just had four new injectors as the old ones failed when sent for testing this cost £900. Was certain to fix the starting issues but it has now returned. Can anyone advise on what this may be?

Please this is ruining a great car.

Thanks

Have you tried a new fuel filter yet? All good replacing the diesel with fresh but no point without doing the fuel filter too.

hi ryan,

yes this was replaced before i purchased it. i feel the issue is fuel related. maybe some sensors?

im going to turn the rev counter higher so when its idle its over a 1000 revs maybe this will help?
