Fiesta MK7 consumes power when turned off

Featured Replies

Hi!

My Fiesta MK7 2009 consumes electrical power when turned off. I've been searching myself for the source of this drainage, but I think I'll need some advice...

  • The phone/aux functions stopped working during October 2016 (have one of those Ford 10-digits radio units with bluetooth)
  • The car had an empty battery in December 2016
  • After recharching the battery it was completely drained again after three days standing still
  • New battery tested - Same result
  • I measured the power in the glove box fuse box. The fuses 20 and 21 consumes 0,5 A even though the car is turned off
  • Noises behind the stereo/dashboard. Dismounted the dashboard and found noises from the radio unit, sounds like the CD-player is on. Also found buzzing noises which was from the temp sensor unit behind the climate control panel. Tested to dismount both the radio unit and the temp sensor separately, but the other unit keeps doing noises...

This means both the radio unit and the climate control is not completely shut off after ignition is turned off. Anyone know what this can be or what can be tested next? Is it some kind of control unit that controls both the radio and climate control?

Thanks in advance mates.
