2011 Fiesta Titanium 1.6D - Electrics Problem

Featured Replies

Hi Just wondering if any one has any knowledge on a 2011 Fiesta Titanium 1.6D dashboard lights, electrics etc randomly going off or doing strange things. I'be had the car into Ford and the only error codes coming up is a low amp reading on the alternator. They have told me to take it to a specialist auto electrics to have them look at it. They don't know for sure what the problem but is pointing to the Alternator but with a price tag of about £450 for the alternator (smart charge) and @ £120 for fitting its a bit of a risk to take if its not the problem.  (The battery has been replaced only 2 months ago because they said it was this but the problem hasn't gone away).

Any ideas would be welcome.

Cheers
