Ford Fiesta 2013 125HP - Nowhere can read ECU? (Remap)

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm hoping someone on here can help me out. I've been to two places that use the KessV2 software by Alientech to remap the cars ECU, and so far they haven't been able to read/communicate with it. I don't understand how since I looked up what ECU it is and it states it's a BOCH MED17.2 which supposedly KessV2 supports, so how this can't be read, I don't know. I don't want the ECU to be taken apart as I need the car throughout the week to get me from work and back, so a plug in via the OBDII port is what I'm most comfortable with.

One of these guys said it happens to him when he tried it on his van, but eventually manages to communicate with it, so I don't know if they need to keep trying and it'll eventually read the ECU or whether it really does need to be disconnected and put into "boot mode".

I would really like this car to be remapped and I've been waiting nearly a year. There's people all over YouTube who have had it done so surely it's possible.

I would like to point out that Ford did have the car when it was still in Warranty last year (Beginning of 2016) and I _think_ they performed an ECU upgrade.

Thanks,

Owen
