Hi guys. New to the forum, had fun wasting many hours browsing through the topics. I got my st-line(140) last week and am loving it. I've noticed that the engine has the promise a really good sound but doesn't quite deliver. Anyone put an induction kit in theirs, not worried about performance at the moment, and if so how does it sound?

    If youre going to fit an induction kit to it, dont cheap out. You want one with a heatshield. Ive just been running 170bhp with an Autospecialists stage 2 kit. It had the heatshield and cold air feed. 

     

    Recirc valve on the turbo sounded much louder when letting off the accelerator

     

    Dont be buying a cheap generic crappy thing. 

     

    Also who promised you a good sound? Its a direct injected rattling 3 cylinder 1.0 engine...  Never going to sound great, even with a vustom exhaust the sound wasnt anything special

    Its an induction kit... Ford will never know which one you had fitted if you remove it before they see it :p

    I've just fitted the j1 Indcution kit last Sunday, 2 days ago, it's brilliant, such a solid kit, heat shield, huge filter, high quality hoses. 

    However, it doesn't give as much "whoosh" as I would've liked, therefore I'm selling it... If your interested @Utah83, drop me a message and an offer?

    The ST180 Mountune box is the same so look out for a second hand airbox for arround £100
