paul97
Can you get iridium plugs for a 2009 1.6 petrol and are they worth the extra outlay?
GaryPL
Not in the slightest. You change the plugs in line with the service schedule. Normal plugs will last that time pretty easily. They do nothing to increase performance as iridium is a crappy conductor compared to copper - which is why sports cars tend to use old fashioned copper too :) It's like these garages selling nitrogen for tyres. Complete waste of money unless you're driving like you want to escape a hit man.
