FORD RECALL

Featured Replies

Hi all, new member here still finding my way round

sorry if you already know this ( as it is abit long )

tucked away in local paper FORD found a problem in August and

are starting to notifing UK owners now

It affects all Ford Focus cars with 1.8L and 2.0L TDCi diesel engines

built between 20 Feb 2004 and 31 May 2006 includes Zetec, style and

some C-Max range Owners are advised to contact local dealer for fault

to be corrected free of charge

this follows a specifcation change to engine cooling fan module as there

could be a risk of corrosion and over heating that may be sufficient to

ignite module and surroundind wiring

Well thats what I read on the 11th Dec 2009

I had a letter about this for my 2.0 TDCI Focus back in September from Ford. The car was booked in the for first week of october and the work was done. Only took about an hour and good service from the local Ford dealer.

  • 2 weeks later...

same here, had my 1.8 TDCI done at ford as well..

Thanks for this. I'll be contacting my Ford dealer in the New Year...
