Trillionz
What about something that can go in the glove box? I have a diagnostic laptop but when you hit "limp mode" your usually out with nothing. I have a bluetooth dongle and the Torque app on my phone but don't know how useful that will be. I see a lot of £20 hand held diagnostic machines that claim to be able to clear codes is anyone using one of them? Any recommendations? the cheaper the better. Forscan is the most comprehensive diagnostics & maintenance package you can get apart from the Ford IDS system found in dealers & some other garages. But it is not very convenient or that easy to use. A self-contained OBD2 scanner for under £20 will display 80% of the error codes you are likely to get, and clear them, and is much more convenient. I use both, a very basic old U480 handheld scanner, and Forscan with an ELM327. You can get both for well under £30 total, and are then covered for most error code type problems.
