Replacing front shocks - costs?

My front shocks have started to fail on my 64 plate fiesta, and i was wondering if anyone knew a rough price for replacing these?

Both fronts would need changing, it unlikely the springs. Hope not too.

(done 55k in the fiesta)

Just replacing with stock ones at a normal garage (doesn't have to be ford garage).

The whole shockers or just the springs ? seems very doubtful  a 64 plate would need new shockers ?

Springs are prone for snapping though.

Have you had a good look at the shockers for yourself or just taking someone else's word that they need changing.

Sounds like somebody has had the Halfords autocentres WD40 trick done on them if you ask me!

No not checked myself or had advice, it makes a spring scrape noise when going over speed bumps, so it may be the as spring rather than the shocks. Cheaper.

Shocks and springs not covered under warranty unless premature failure.

No one said that but we could be here all day listing possible causes - Given the fact that it started of as shocks are failing but the car hasn't even been inspected so how can we possibly achieve a sensible outcome?

I couldn't agree more as you wouldn't except your doctor saying just take an asprin for your severe chest pains as you'd expect a proper examination at least wouldn't  you..
