Tyre pressure monitor Fiesta ecoboost

Featured Replies

Hi,

Please dont shout at me as i'v only just joined if this is obvious to many.

If the tyre pressure monitor is set how does it let me know if the tyres require air ?

Thanks

First off, check you actually have a tyre pressure monitoring system. Even though it may say it in the manual, unless you can find it in the Car Main menu system you may not in reality have it.

Go through the menu and look for something under the title 'Deflation'. If you have it, there'll be an option to turn this on/off.

Also, another way to test is to deliberately deflate a tyre (providing you have the means to re-inflate it) to below 10 psi (I Think)

If that image illuminates, then you have it installed, if not then you probably don't. Obviously with all these pressure systems, the best thing to do is when cleaning your car, every so often check them, especially after   before (Thanks Luke4efc) longer journeys.

Hope that helps

*before longer journeys. But yeah spot on, if you have a compressor then just let the air out of a tyre and you should get that yellow warning light on the instrument cluster
