Fenners
Hi, cleaned my car today and noticed there's a light scratch on the windscreen from a stone on the wiper is there anything I can do to get rid of it? thanks!
Commencal24
I spent absolutely ages researching this for a previous car, a great deal of window cleaners claim to get rid of scratches none of which worked 😕
Fenners
That's not good news someone mentioned a clay bar what ever that is??
Smeeble
clay bars are generally used to remove little bits of grit from the paint, not aware of one being use for scratches in glass. Only things I'm aware of is buffer/polishing kits that can have a varying degrees of success, or replacement. GMX
Jewellers Rouge can get rid of some windscreen scratches, it takes a long time though, and it only removes the superficial ones I've found. For instance, scratches made by a diamond ring when your female passenger defogged the door window with the back of her hand, and grooved the glazing at the same time: it will not remove. Micro
Something a bit more abrasive, like (i think its slightly abrasive) autoglym glass polish?
Ian Lanc
Had a bad ark scratch on my Escort back in the 1990's Took the car to a windscreen replacement centre [forget who they was at the time] and they buffed the scratch out using a series of polishes, cost me about £25. That was the 90s though, when you could still get a good service at a reasonable price.
