Uk mail mess up on delivery.

Featured Replies

On the tracking of a parcel I had off eBay through U.K. Mail I have had problems, first should of come Friday the 7th as it said

And now today the 8th Saturday it's been delivered and sighned for by a Affif at 8.15am which I think could be the driver but nothing.

I have emailed the firm and seller but as anyone dealt with this. U.k mail before and any more ways of sorting this.

And I have looked at the Cctv as it recordes in 30min blocked and nothing.

Your contract is with the seller, the seller has a contract with UK Mail, therefore let the seller sort out a replacement or refund if the parcel is lost / not delivered.

I'm with Ted too  Don't worry too much as it's an ebay purchase and everything gets resolved very easily.

On another note tell the seller not to send a replacement via' UK Mail but use Royal Mail Signed For, as bit better but only a bit better

You are both spot on,i have had a response from the seller saying this is how u.k mail works which is weird as the tracking details say

''item delivered'' and a name of a person who signed for it,but now up to date the parcel came today in a jiffy bag and 100% i know its been

sent to another address as it was resealed with tape but it all works and not broke so i cant do a lot more, seller don't want to know so i know now

that u.k mail aint worth the hassle.

Reused jiffy bag?

My parcel from an online company came the other day via UK Mail, having been signed for by "Mr A Jones" and marked as delivered (cascaded), and then the day later turned up by normal postman. I think this is how the packet+ system works (Mr A Jones must have been working for Royal Mail! - and also says on the tracking site!).

Royal mail aren't much cop either.

I often see Post Staff shoving 'Sorry We Missed You' cards through letterboxes without knocking, ringing or not even in many instances even having the item with them at all.

It's quite common for agency staff to shove loads of letters back into the nearest postbox because -

A/ they can't be arsed to finish the round and -

B/ know that someone else will have to process and redeliver them the next day when they are long gone.

I have a sticker issued by Royal Mail on my letterbox (and also recorded online that these are my wishes) informing post'men' to not leave items with neighbours and return them to the nearest depot due to some wrangles with a couple of neighbours about missing post in the past however they still leave my parcels with neighbours and often don't even leave a card saying they have done so.

I have given up complaining as they ask stupid questions for which there are often no answers then reject the complaint due to lack of evidence and/of incomplete forms.

Any company that runs it's own complaints procedure the way Royal Mail do will always wriggle out of any liability even if insured.

My normal postman used to leave no calling cards, leaving it up to my neighbour to leave me a note saying i have a parcel (having been waiting for it for about a week!). I tried the do not leave with neighbour sticker but was just ignored as was yours Stoney. I now normally get stuff delivered to my parents and pick it up regularly to avoid the hassle.

You have just said the exact thing that happened right down to to 'delivered next day by royal mail' so what a strange system.

Being in a lot we have a lot of people deliver to our house like 5 or more houses in the street have our number down as second option

so i see a lot of weird ways how they work,Royal mail is one of our best because i got to know the people well and very local sorting office.

You get to know the people who deliver in your area,i just hate it when they cant be bothered to ring the bell or just wait a few seconds,i have to

get from upstairs and no bell i cant hear them.

Not much help I know but UK Mail is now owned by DHL.

Drop it hide it lose it, whether that will make the company better or worse who knows.
