Steering wheel adjustment

Featured Replies

I can't adjust my steering wheel on my Fiesta 2010 model MK7 I believe(not the face lift though) I don't have a lever although in the manual it specifies I do.

i have a bolt here which appears to be on a runner, although I'm not confident. I've uploaded a picture (not really clear either I know)

can somebody help me.

thanks in advance.

There should be a lever to the left of that bolt ?? Flick it downwards and then the steering wheel will go up or down - grab the wheel rim and pull towards you !!

The torx head is just a securing screw to hold the plaggy surround.

My lever unlocked.

Hi Ian, thanks for your reply but where the lever is on your car, on mine it's just an empty space where I can access some wiring in a mesh sleeve. Maybe the previous owner broke it. I'll show if a picture if that's okay.

Your not going to believe it, what I believed was wires behind the white mesh, was the lever. I feel so stupid! All my friends have also looked, so don't feel as silly. Hahahaha, thanks for your help Ian.

It never ceases to amaze me how things can sometimes be hiding in plain sight!

lol

Like some kinky fish net stocking for yer widge :yahoo:

... and then there are other things you wish you wouldn't see.

No worries matey. Do remember to lock that lever back in place when you've got it adjusted to your liking.
