Inconsiderate W*****S. Help with paint!

Featured Replies

So someone has chipped the paint on my car, to say i'm ******* off is an understatement.

How best to repair this? I can get touch up paint but I don't really want it to look to obvious. Also its candy blue, do i just buy a candy blue paint or do i need to seek a code or similar?#

I'll update with a picture soon.

Depends on the damage really might require a respray for a perfect result, it's best to go off the paint code in your door either driver or passenger side.

If they took responsibility get it done professionally and get their insurance to pay for it.

I wish, they we're gone by the time I spotted it, I looked for the code but couldn't figure out which bit it would be? What should I be looking for?

End to a perfect week really, scratched the alloy and damaged the tyres yesterday!

I've used ChipEx for fixing general stone chips, (even ones down to the metal) and looking at the picture I recon it's small enough for it. Its a touch up kit but gives a really good results as it blends with the surrounding paint which you can do yourself, just takes patience and a few applications normally! They also matched the colour for my car (use reg plate) and I can hardly notice where it was unlike normal touch up paint. Just an option to consider :)

Just ordered some chipex, any advice on applying it? worried about making a mess!

Don't worry too much, its asks you to splodge it over the area on your finger which takes a  bit of guts but the blending solution does do its thing and cleans it up. Just take your time and if its deep do it a few times and you should be fine! should help the mark less visible, let me know how you get on :)
