Model Change - What should I expect?!

Featured Replies

Hello all,

It's been a long time since my last post on this forum, but I'm hoping you're all still as helpful as you always were!

I've just sold my relatively-high mileage 1.6 MK7 ZS and plan on buying a 1.0T MK7.5 ZS (125 bhp).

What I'm hoping you can tell me is what I can expect from the change?

How does the 1 litre engine cope under load, is there enough torque?

Thanks in advance!

You'll notice a difference, all for the better. The little 3 cylinder 125bhp  is a great engine, torquey and responsive. You'll not be disapointed.

I have the 140. If you're really low down in the revs it does lack torque in my opinion but the turbo picks up really quick and it won't disappoint.

Thanks for the replies everyone - off to test drive one in a day or two!

I'll have money to play with for some modifications and plan a remap at some stage, have any of you remapped the 1.0T?

I've got the Bluefin map. It's good but I'd also look at Revo. Both removable by the user which is a bonus.

Little update: I've test driven both the 125PS and 140PS versions of the Fiesta and have decided to go for a Red Edition I found with 11,000 miles - driving both side by side was eye opening and confirmed the extra ponies in the 140 make a big difference in responsiveness and how the car feels!

Hopefully pictures to follow!!
