In place... it looks blacker and more matt in reality.

Added: In the photo just to the left of the gearshift you may notice that the little cubbyhole edge is not properly married up. That is now fixed. The tip is to clip the black plastic cubbyhole thing to the climate control surround before offering-up the surround. There is an electrical connection for a little LED strip on the back of mine that needed to be, easily, unplugged and reconnected to fully remove it.
