Hi

recently purchased a ford zetec 2005 55 plate great condition low mileage

am a little underwhelmed with the stereo which seems to be this triple deck affair

research is showing me how to remove etc but I'm not sure what kind of upgrade the electrics will actually be able to provide? im a little green on this topic so forgive me for being stupid but anyone who has done this with any advice on actual units that would compatible would be much appreciated!! im looking for aux input and Bluetooth availability only really, nothing too fancy :)

You can remove it and buy a wiring conversion kit including a replacement fascia then fit a single DIN stereo like this one JVC KD-X330BT Bluetooth Car Stereo https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0192OST9I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_KI3gzbVPM8YAC (I have linked this one as it has aux and Bluetooth) i might be more inclined to fit one that has the aux input at the back then route a cable from the rear to a suitable discreet point. Something like this one maybe Pioneer DEH-X8700BT Car Stereo with Bluetooth, CD, USB and Aux-In https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00PAQGYIG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_YP3gzbZTZ7B3G on the last one you can see the wiring harness provided has 2 of the positive leads can be disconnected and swapped with each other, this is because sometimes the ignition and switched lives are reversed in some cars. You can tell if that is the case as it will lose its stored presets when you turn off the engine.

Thank you!! The Pioneer actually looks spot on. Any idea what fascia would be required and how easy this would be to install? any specific vids anywhere for my model plate/year?

Thanks Lenny! Is this the same setup for a 2005 Zetec?

Yep mk2 focus 2005-2008 and mk2.5 focus 2008-2011

All the same model just different shaped panels on the outside; the dashboard and everything is exactly the same 👍
