Hi!

New to the forum, and would appreciate some help... I cannot seem to find the answer to this anywhere.

The stock non DAB radio head unit on my fiesta mk7 (2008) appears to have packed in - very low sound levels with distortion on all channels simultaneously.

I've pulled the head unit and checked connectors and components on the board but can't see any obvious problems.

Looking at getting a head unit off ebay - if I ensure the unit is the same, will additional coding be required to match the head unit, or is there no theft protection on these?
