Fiesta mk7 air conditioning

Featured Replies

Hello, I'm looking for a little advice on the air conditioning in my 1.6tdi, it only really works when I'm going about 70mph and only then it's slightly cool, I've had it checked for leaks etc and all seems fine.. is it worth getting a new compressor, or could there be another underlying cause?

Driving in full black leather when it's 25c is very uncomfortable 😅

Might seem like a stupid reply, but have you got it switched on. I thought mine was crap until i relalised it was switched off.

Could just simply need recharging get it done at Ford or Halfords they both charge £50

Hi, it's definitely on as the fan switches on too, I also had it recharged when they checked for leaks etc.

The aircon is a bit crap in Fiestas. I've heard quite a few complaints about it.

are you running it with the re-circulation button? it improves massively when using both in my experience

Replacing the cabin/pollen filter in both of our Fiestas improved the air-conditioning no end. My car in particular went from virtually none existent to like being in a fridge. They cost about a tenner and easy to change.

Mine is fine but you guys should have had an A35 or Mini in 1965, hot was hot.

Mollycoddled springs to mind.

my mini had a tap under the bonnet to change heater temp, no cable operated nonsense to sieze up. lol
