BR36
Hi, we have a fault code poo30 which is a circuit issue with the upstream oxygen sensor (O2S), anyone able to tell me exactly where that is please.....I'm assuming in the exhaust manifold somewhere. Might be coincidental but son was messing with his headlights and sidelights immediately before the EML came in so I'm wondering if he's disturbed a connection somewhere. GingerFlame
1.25 Duratec so remove your airbox/engine cover Look at the back of the engine on top of the exhaust manifold. That's your sensor :) We had the heating element on ours fail, you're best purchasing a lambda sensor socket as its in a deep recess
BR36
Thanks for that, I wonder what the chances are of it being a wiring issue.....broken wire or something simple. Doesn't seem like son might have disturbed anything if it's under the cover😕 Is the heating element part of the sensor......how much for a replacement? Is the special socket readily available.....what width slot is required?
GingerFlame
The sensor requires replacing if the heater fails. P0030 points at the heater itself too :) Cost us £12 for socket and £14 for sensor from scrappy
