Featured Replies

Has anybody had any custom decals for cars/bikes done that they can recommend?

Im after a few bits and the guy I used to use doesn't seem to want to answer any of my messages, it's not a huge decal I want doing.

DMB Graphics are always very helpful they even printed a RedBull Can including the ingredients and barcode for my 1.0 Fared Capacitor,

😅 that's almost as small as they come it's a 1.0 Fared which is capable of cushioning the demands of an amplifier or two amplifiers to the total of 1000watts

There are 0.5 Fared available in America but it wasn't worth the effort with customs and import taxes,

if you imagine electricity to be a liquid flowing from the battery through the cables to each item; A capacitor is like a bucket or resivour of power, it's purpose is to store a short term load of power to cushion the power demands of the amplifier mainly a mono amplifier which deals with all the bass at an instant rate while the battery maintains the level of the capacitor at a slower steady pace.

By fitting a capacitor you're ensuring the amplifier never misses a beat and none of your other electrical devices will be stolen of power when the bass is up full.

To be honest i probably don't need it atall in this setup 😞 because the amplifier its supplying is a 300Watt Class D which being a Class D is the most energy efficient type available on the market today.

I've also connected the 10" roof mounted rear monitor with built in DVD to the capacitor because the HD screens can fluctuate in power demands aswell

 it was also easier than routing all the way through to the battery itself.

Overall if you were using a garden hose to fill a 10 litre bucket and then carring that bucket to the bottom of the garden to water flowers then returning to fill the bucket again;

Your wasting time waiting for the bucket to fill,

But if you had a large open top drum; and you put the hose in to that drum; the water can continue to fill the drum while your traveling up and down the garden, so your demand of 10 litres is always available exactly when you need it.

A capacitor is the same thing in the electrical world generally 1.0 Fared is sufficient for an amplifier or two amplifiers totalling 1000watts audio output,

1.5 Fared is sufficient for up to 1500 watts audio it goes up and up can get 7.5 Fared etc.
