So ... as with many of my cars in the past, I've decided to opt to upgrade the OEM ford sony stereo in the S-Max
firstly, the car in question is a 2008 2.0 tdci titanium with the Sony 6000CD (not the Dab version) click here for image of unit

Having purchased the Stereo (a clarion double din navigation unit) and also the iso harness adapter from dynamic sounds, I find myself for the first time ever completely stumped.! I fitted the unit however could not get it to power up.. So on the stereo units wiring I connected the acc+ (red) to the same 12v feed as the standard 12v (yellow) in order to obtain a continuous supply..
So this works.. the memory works, the unit powers up etc.. although I have to now manually turn it off each time I stop the car engine as its not controlled via the ignition power. This I can live with, being just a minor issue, however the bigger issue is that since installing the unit, the car alarm goes off randomly at various times throughout the day/night.. I removed the unit and put the OEM one back in and now the alarm issue is resolved..!

the oem connection is the Quadlock.

Did you manage to find a fix as i have same issue. Only think i can think is its a canbus issue and needs the correct interface lead

It's been over 7 months since he was last active pal, I doubt he is going to reply.

Yes I did... the error turned out to be the canbus system detecting the stereo replacement as stereo theft and in turn kept triggering the alarm. Took it to an auto electrics specialist he altered some wiring to suit and deleted the code from the ecu.

Power wise I'm not sure what he did in order to source an ignition feed supply but not it's all working perfectly.

Thanks for quick reply. Going to try the connects2 interface lead and as its meant to keep canbus. Rather than the nornal harness installes. If not give ul lol

Good luck.. I never heard of that lead until afterwards but from what I experienced it's definitely worth a shot.. if all else fails.. the alarm scenario is fixed by a simple delete of radio removal code from ecu [emoji106]

Hi I’m having the exact same problem, how would you find the radio removal code with the ecu? I’m gathering it’s within the acm??
