Sync Applink 1.1 and Spotify

Featured Replies

Hi All, thanks to lwatson99's guide I've managed to get applink 1.1 working in my car. I can now control spotify with voice command which is great.

However, this morning it seemed that I had to re search for the app before it would work. Surely I don't need to do this every time?

unfortunatilly yes this has been my experience

Really? wow, so they take out the effort of having to fiddle with your phone so you fiddle with the stereo instead?

applink is buggy at best, in the end, i bit the bullet and installed a 7" touchscreen that came with Spotify integration along with android auto and a host of other features

I am still looking into this problem as I think it may be to do with the phone power saving mode as it does not always do this. Also if you wake the phone up first then turn ignition on I think it works but need to experiment. I did upgrade to 5.9 and all works great apart from this problem . I have a galaxy S7 edge

see what you get by just waking your phone first and let me know

Cool, i'll give that a go, its not a major headache but it seems silly having to re-find the apps every time.

updated my spotify yesterday.... guess what.... no longer works in the car :wallbash:

Have you upgraded sync to v5.9 as this contains a number of bug fixes.

yes, running 5.9 been fine until I updated spotify to version 8.4.5.1092 , have uninstalled and re-installed so will try again later but i think i'll have to downgrade it

seems to be working after a re-install

  • 4 weeks later...
