Adjusting rear washer jet

Featured Replies

Before I go and break something can anyone if the aim of the rear washer jet on the Mk 7.5 Fiesta is adjustable (or not)? Many jets of this type can be aimed with the aid of a pin or similar to move the position of the hole but I'm not sure that this is the case here.

I'm not sure about the Fiesta but the Mondeo is preset in the factory and cannot be moved. - or so they say. I manipulated mine with a pin and it went from one extreme to the other. If you have a poor coverage then try gently with a pin. If that doesn't work go back and get it checked

Thanks Jon. I had another look today and I think it's definitely a fixed position on the Fiesta. Given all my poking around I may well have inadvertently removed a small blockage though as whilst its aim is still right at the top of the screen (I was hoping I could move it lower down) it does seem to be giving a more substantial soaking so it is probably good enough as-is.

Mine just runs down the window not a jet/spray and also don't want to mess as i might snap something.

Just gently push a fine needle or the end of a wire paperclip into the nozzle, as long as you go in straight it will be fine. Don't force or try to wiggle it though. A drawing pin or nail would be too thick, it must be something fine.
