Water leaking into boot

So the other day before I took the car in the garage to sort out the cause of the brake fluid leaking it was raining. Yesterday I opened the boot and I noticed there was a small puddle of water from where the boot latch would latch. When I took the car out I noticed I could hear a swooshing noise coming from the back most likely water has collected in the boot. Any ideas where the water would get in there? Am planning on opening the tailgate cover to see if that's where the water is collecting however want to sort this out to prevent rust from forming
