Hi All,

I have bought a 2005 Focus 55 Reg from salvage with no keys. The recovery company got a key cut for me with a transponder. I now need to get that programmed, what would you advise Dealership or mobile key programmers?

Also the battery was flat so I removed it and charged it indoors, but now whenever I connect the battery the alarm sounds!

Any ideas how I can disarm the alarm?

    If you have a decent mobile key programmer near you that will save you a lot of money. In my experience it was nearly 60% cheaper to use an independent rather than the local Ford Dealer. The quality of the work is the same.

    The alarm is a pats. you will more than likely need to take it to ford to be programmed, or try turning key on/off I think its about 6 times untill it bleeps, then press one of the buttons to lock the door. if the key remote works with the door it still mite not work the pats alarm.

    No need to take it to Ford for programming (I didn't). Auto locksmiths are able to program the Ford PATS system (and those of other manufacturers) with the right equipment.
