There's been big changes in my life of which the biggest was leaving living in Leeds and moving back but close to Manchester. I was there a year and a quarter but couldn't get to grips living in a council new build 3rd floor flat. Went there (if you remember ) to make another go at my marriage. The marriage is still on but she's in leeds and I'm not.

I've got my old job back where the owner gaffer was well happy to have me back. My commute is 14 miles one way and getting to work is a sinch But getting back is killing the mpg of my beloved titanium x sport ecoboost mondeo and since it ain't got stop start and I don't need a big car any more I decided to go hybrid.

Top of the list was another lexus is300h then the Golf GTE then the 3 series hybrid beemer.

The Golf is a great car But the ride is far to stiff so that put that out.

The beemer is also a great car but to get the level of trim I want makes it far to dear.

So it's back to the Lexus. Yes I had one a year ago which lasted 5 weeks But this one is bang on. The ride is sublime and after a year with the Mondeo auto box I found the CVT a sinch.

I got a very good price on my car. I was disgusted to find the ar*e has fallen out of the market for such a sought after car so I suppose I'm getting out at the right time.

My mondeo is the best Family car and someone is going to get one helluva car (so longs as they're not bothered about mpg lol)

I get my Lexus this coming Saturday and I'll keep popping by to see how things are and advise where I can to help.
