Help please,

I have a 2008 diesel Mondeo with keyless start & entry. After being on holiday for 2 weeks I have gone to start the car and a message saying key battery low and it wont start. I replace the key battery but it still refuses to start.

I have a "Engine malfunction " message appear followed by "Immobiliser active"

I tried disconnecting the battery for a while, re-connecting it locking the car and then opening it using the key fob but I still get the same message. Has anyone had this before or know of any solution please before I contact a garage

I'd try charging the actual car battery, it's bound to be low after 2 weeks and could be causing your issue.

Thanks Tom
