Ford led logo

Featured Replies

Hello all sorry for stupid question but I wish to purchase a Ford led logo off eBay but how will I be able to power this up? It says I for Specifications:

1.Power supply: DC 12V+/-10%

2.Power Cable Length:0.6 meter

Can I get a battery holder 23a? Which is 12v to power this or can it be like double aa or anything else?

Thanks and sorry again for stupid question. [emoji41]

If you want it to come on permanently with headlights then wire it in parallel with a numberplate light.
If you want it to only function with the brakes then wite to the third brake light.
Small battery packs won't cut it, it needs to be car powered.
I did this project on my old MK2 Focus-

So if I add a battery holder and wire the logo up to it with 23a - 12v battery it won't power it up? 1509084277416.jpg1509084283674.jpg

It may power for a short while but the amperage load will kill the batteries pretty quickly.
The logos are designed to run off car power and tbh any other way is not practical.
