Ford Fusion 1.4 2002 cambelt replacement problem

Featured Replies

Crankshaft wont come off, I have the tool to remove crankshafts but this one doesnt have any holes for the tool any special way of removal without damaging it more??

you need to remove starter motor and jam flywheel up. flywheel locking tool would be ideal.

have you got all the other timing tools? is it petrol or diesel?

Hi thank you for the replies, I have all the other timing locking tools etc, I have already removed the crankshaft bolt but cant get the pulley off.

Its a Petrol 1.4 2002

Tried a hammer and it broke a small chunk off it.

Im thinking this sort of puller would do the trick? Puller tool

A tap around the edge should loosen it without breaking anything off really.

If you're doing it outside today it's probably the cold holding it on, bit of heat might help.

I've never needed a puller for a crank pulley so far but that may work if you can't do it any other way.

Tapping it with a soft blow hammer usually does the trick
