Glove Box Coating

Featured Replies

Hi All,

New to the club and sorry if this has already been covered.

The top glovebox lid on my Fusion seems to be covered in a rubbery non slip coating which is badly marked and scratched and I was wondering if anyone has found a simple way of renovating it.

The box itself does not want to come out easily - is there a knack to removing it ?

Thanks for any advice.

I've had just this problem.

Undo the two screws, and use two cutlery knife blades to carefully lever it out from the front.

The rubber coating comes off quite easily, 400 grit wet and dry and soapy water will have every last scrap removed.  Give it a rub with 600 grit to tidy it up, then a few coats of spray bumper paint have it looking like new.
