When I started driving 2 and a half years back my insurance was £2080 for a 1 litre petrol Peugeot 107 when I was 17. Insurance can be a bit of a con but when you see some of these young drivers modding their cars and driving like idiots you can sort of see why they are high. In my uni I see some of the students in their financed audis or golf's booting past the entrance and sometimes overtaking people. Once I saw 2 cars overtake a learner where the second car overtook whilst going around a corner. I see some of the cars driving past with big dents on it. Today I saw a audi A1 which had a large dent on rear driver door.

Hi,

Thats a lot to insure a 1litre Peugeot 107. But as you say there’s a lot of young inexperienced drivers out there. Also there’s a lot of uninsured drivers out there which we are paying for.

Liam.

I've been quoted £489.99 for my 2015 titanium x 1.5lt 180 bhp with Brentacre. Declared dashcam windeflectors and rim protection all yet to be fitted and I'm allowed to remap it up to 210 bhp with no additional costs as long as I let them know. Potentially including lowering but I can't remember if that was taken into account however I did mention it on the phone for the quote.

I'm 26 with 3 years ncb, only been driving since I got my first car 3 years ago and no incidents etc.

That seems really rather reasonable, nice job.

This is a good quote, especially if you’ve declared that you wish to remap in the future and they’ve said there won’t be any additional cost.
