Custom headrest and armrest in mk7.5?

Featured Replies

Hi guys

I'm driving a mk7.5 Titanium, but I find the armrest extremely lacking in length - I'd like to install something like this: https://www.armster.co.uk/shop/ford-fiesta-mk7-2008-armster-s-armrest/

Does anyone know if that's doable on the Titanium (the original armrest seems to be in the way, but I may be wrong) ?

Furthermore I can't put my head as far back as I'd like to straighten the neck (I've got a neck issue that worsens when the head is tilted forward). Does anyone know of a custom headrest I could replace the original with, that doesn't go as much forward?

Thanks in advance :-)

You would have to replace the Titanium centre console section with one from a base model to use the Armster. I have a cheap eBay version which fits well

I have the same car and have had this problem too, the armrest just is not in a comfortable position.

Unfortunately, as David said, the Titanium armrest and centre console trim is one integrated piece, you would have to find a Zetec replacement (the one with the rear cup holder), and then mount the new armrest onto that.

As far as my research goes, I could not find an alternative to this method (ie a one piece replacement centre console trim with a better armrest).

Good luck!

I have the exact one as ThaiFiesta who put the picture on here, the Genuine one may look nice but don't solve the purpose of a armrest

its more like a elbow rest, mine was around £50 i think and slots into the rear cut holder but that's on the pre-facelift 2011 but i do see your point.

Its all the complete console i would say would have to come out and the gear surround matches up to it as well.
