2013 S-Max

Featured Replies

I have a 2013 s-max, and I'm experiencing problems with the boot. I get a message on the dashboard which suggests the boot is open but when I try it, it's actually shut. In fact I can't even open the boot. The problem is intermittent which makes it even more frustrating.

In addition to this I also get an error message regarding the brake light being faulty. I have noticed that when I'm unable to open the boot as I'm pressing the boot release button the rear lights flash!

It all seems very strange and any help or suggestions you can offer would be welcome.

Regards

Mark

check the the wiring inside the rubber tube by the n/s tailgate hinge. known to break wires or wires rub against each other then melt together. its a bit tricky to release the tube but can be done with a screwdriver.
