2.0 16v Zetec gearbox options ?

Hi all.

First post, Just picked up a 2000 2.0 16v Zetec ESP Focus.

Although not bad by any means, the gearchange from second to third sounds like the synchro is on its way out. I'm aware this is a common focus transmission problem.

So, my questions:

Is there any difference between the 2.0 16v esp gearbox and the standard 1.8 16v Zetec, i.e. can i just put another straight on?

Also, does the 6 speed box from the st170 fit?
